Mr. Belknap did not possess much of this world's goods, but he possessed a good character and enjoyed the esteem of his fellow man. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survived by his wife and several children.
He was somewhat deaf, and it is supposed he may have stepped off the track and was not aware of the coming train.
