Mrs. Charles Barber, 80, 1722 Rustin St., died Monday morning at a Sioux City nursing home following a long illness.

Mrs Barber, the former Florence Sims, was born June 28, 1887, in Lawrence County, Ill. When she was young, she moved with her family to Spigert, Mo. She was married to Charles Morris July 8, 1906, at Kenosha, Wis., and the couple moved to Sioux City in 1908. Mr. Morris died in 1936 in Sioux City. She married Charles Barber Aug. 2, 1945, in Sioux City. He died here July 23, 1961. Mrs. Barber was a member of Holiness Methodist Church in South Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, Wellington and Charles Morris; both of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Guy Plantz Sr. and Mrs. Robert McKeever, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Louis Yount of Sloan; a brother, Linvil Sims of Carmel Valley, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, and 51 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside."
