Funeral services for Mrs. Alfred Lemke, 29, were held from the home of Mrs. O. Lemke near Big Creek Wednesday afternoon, October 25, at 2 o'clock. Rev. J.R. Vilt of Needville officiated in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Interment took place in the Needville Public Cemetery. The Foerster Funeral Home of Rosenberg had charge of funeral arrangements and the following acted as pallbearers: John Foss, John Gerken, Joe Dubcak, Otto Graeber, Bill Vallet, and Clement Slacalek.
Mrs. Lemke passed away Monday, October 23, after an illness of three years duration. She was born in Fort Bend County, being the former Miss Ella Kolar. She was loved and admired by a host of friends who deeply sympathize with the bereaved in the passing of this, their loved one, just in the very prime of life.
Deceased is survived by her husband, Alfred Lemke; her mother, Mrs. Barbara Kolar; two brothers, Fred and Julius Kolar; three sisters, Mrs. Ed Foss, Mrs. L.P. Kocurek, and Mrs. M.L. Lowery.
