He graduated from Agenda High School and was an active member of the Agenda United Methodist Church most of his life.
On December 25, 1935, he was united in marriage to Vivian Gram of Ames, KS. To this union were born three sons. In their early married life, Bill farmed near Agenda and purchased a dairy near Belleville, KS.
In 1941 they purchased a grocery store in Agenda and were active in the grocery business and farming until his health forced retirement in late 1972.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Sarah; Ella; and five brothers, Harry; Ernie; Chester; Frank; and Millard.
He is survived by his wife Vivian Anderson, Agenda, KS; three sons, Lyle Anderson, Topeka, KS; Eddie Anderson, Decatur, IL; Steven Anderson, Agenda, KS; one sister, Nora (Howard) Dowell, Narka, KS; and eight grandchildren.
