Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Rolland (Dorothy) Edberg of Great Falls, Mont. Services were held in the United Church of Christ, congregational, Ree Heights, with the Rev. Jose Resurreccion officiating. Interment was made in Morningside Cemetery, Ree Heights.
Mrs. Edberg, 62, died Friday at the home of Great Falls, following a lingering illness.
Pallbearers at the service were Tom, John and Ronald Lingscheit, Brian Hines, Doug Fritzsche and Bob Hurd.
Mrs. Edberg was born January 5, 1915 at Parkston, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lingscheit. She moved with her parents to a ranch south of Ree Heights, in Spring Hill township at the age of two years. She graduated from the Ree Heights high school and attended Nettleton Commercial College in Sioux Falls, and for some time was employed by McKinney and Allen Insurance Company, Sioux Falls. She was married to Rolland E. Edberg, December 22, 1940, and for two years they made their home in Watertown. In 1942, they moved to great Falls where they continued to make their home.
Survivors include her widower; one son Eric, Great Falls; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lingscheit, Miller; two brothers, Joseph and Wilbur Lingscheit, both of Ree Heights; and three sisters, Mrs. Clark (Hazel) Bottum, Wessington, Mrs. E.F. (Norma) Frary; Fair Oaks, Calif., and Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Froning, Miller. She was preceded in death by her father.
