Ida Phillis Shultz, daughter of William Henry Shultz and Mary Jane Speirs Shultz, married Thomas Benjamin Murphy November 13, 1870.

They were parents of Clarence Carmen Murphy, he was born in November 13,1891 in Good Hope, Illinois, died March 10, 1952. His wife's name was Grace.

Ida Phillis Schultz Murphy. 91, former Bushnell resident, died Saturday at a hospital in Denver Colorado.
Mrs. Murphy resided in Hudson, Colorado for the past 6 years, where she made her home with a niece, Mrs. William Haviet.
Funeral Services, will be held at 3pm Wednesday, in the Martin Funeral Home in Busnell. Entombment will be in the Bushnell Mausoleum.
She was born in Martinsburg, Iowa in 1870, where she attended school. After her marriage to Tom Murphy, they resided on a farm near Good Hope, Illinois, after her husband died she moved to Bushnell. She was a seamstress and dressmaker in Bushnell for a number of years before moving to Colorado. She was a member of the Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School classes at both Good Hope and Bushnell.
Survivors include her niece whom she reared in her home, along with three grandchildren; eight g-great-grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, son Clarence Carmen; three sisters and one brother.
