Edna Lopez 1943 - 2008

Edna Lopez, 65, of Craig, died Monday, July 28, 2008, in Craig.
Edna was born July 21, 1943, in Amherst, Texas.
She moved to Craig at an early age, and when she was a cheerleader in the eighth grade, she caught the eye of a young man named Norman. They were married Oct. 15, 1959, and went hunting on their honeymoon.
Edna enjoyed seeing the Pacific Ocean, and she and Norman traveled to California and Oregon to visit friends.
Family was very important to Edna, and each of her children had a special connection to her. Family reunions held a special place in her heart, as she always enjoyed seeing all the family members and their spouses and children.
She was proud of her Chakataw Native American heritage and displayed many artifacts in her home. She enjoyed reading, sewing and knitting, but most of all she liked shopping.
She also enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Midnight and Daisy.
Edna is survived by her husband, Norman; her son, Ricky (Sharon); her daughter, Theresa (Jim); grandson, Phillip; granddaughter, Jasmine; and her younger sister, Vera (Roy); and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Barbara.
