NEWPORT NEWS - Lucile Evans Amason, born April 27, 1907, died Saturday, June 13, 1998. She was a resident of the Chesapeake in Newport News for several yearsand had retired from Murray and Dischinger Engineering. She was a member of Hampton Baptist Church for several years and recently was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Amason Hollandsworth of Parker City, Ind.; three grandchildren, Michele Cecile Lemke Price, Rebecca Elizabeth Lemke and George Frederick Lemke III; two great grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Price and Jacob Anthony Price; a brother, John Stanton Evans; and nieces and nephews, Frances Elizabeth Evans, Mary Jane Evans and John Stanton Evans, III.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
