Frances as she was known, was the daughter of John Vickers & Joanna Driscoll(1861-1912). She had one daughter with Daniel Quilby, Kathleen Ann Vickers 1892-1979. She married Charles Henry Beek on June 1, 1898. They were went onto have seven more children. Edna 1898-1984, Bernard 1899-?, Millet 1901-1982, Walter 1906-1969, Rhoda 1907-1983, Pansy 1909-1976, Honner 1912-1982. She died from coronary problems. She was a housewife and did housework later to earn money.
On my 1st trip to Doaktown , NB in 2005 I found out that Frances is buried without a headstone next to her husband Charles Henry Beek.
I contacted the groundskeeper, Beresford Price & he was familiar with these family members. Beresford confirmed that all 4 family members are buried in the same row but without an headstone. I asked my cousin Belva (Lyons) Brown If we could raise enough money for a proper headstone for the four Beek family members. (Charles Herbert Beek, Martha Jane(Gilks) Charles Henry Beek & Mary Frances (Vickers). Belva spearheaded an unveiling of the headstone in July 2006. She had the local Reverend affiliate the unveiling & blessing. We pray all 4 of them are pleased with the final result. We can't Thank Doug Jardine of Adams Funeral Home-Miramichi, NB for his Dedicated help designing this amazing headstone. All birth, death & marriage dates are from certificates from the PANB.
