She married Harold Bertram Dwyer in 1924. They lived abroad in Honolulu, Hawaii and Manila, Philipines in Harold's work for the Commercial Pacific Cable Company. While in Manila, the family enjoyed travel to Shanghai, China, Guam, and Tokyo, Japan. After the outbreak of WW II, they moved back to the mainland with their three children to Burlingame, California. After 41 years of marriage Harold died in 1965.

Edna died on November 20, 1988 at the age of 87 years old in San Mateo, California. Besides her mother and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Richard Ross Dwyer. Surviving included her son, Robert Harold Dwyer, daughter, Thelma Dwyer Dana, and six grandchildren.
