1881 - 1957
Roscoe Agusta Felker, 76, 230 S. 600 W., died early this morning at the Utah Valley Hospital of a heart attack.
He was born April 25, 1881, in Pulaski, Ind., a son of Isaac A. and Pricilla Fisher Felker. He was married to Albina Nice March 2, 1902, at Winamac, Indiana.
They came to Utah in 1918 making their home in Roosevelt, where he was in the livestock freight business and was a cafe operator. He moved to Provo with his family in 1939 where he had [a] coal business where he worked until his retirement in 1954. Since then he did novelty woodwork, making many attractive lamps and gifts.
Surviving are his wife, one son and four daughters, Ragnal R. Felker, Provo; Velma Felker, Redding, Calif.; Mrs. C. H. (Monia) Berg, Reno, Nev.; Mrs. Ezra (Dorean) Fenn, and Mrs. Elmer (D'On) Backman, both of Provo; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three brothers and one sister, Charles Felker, Royal Center, Ind., and LeRoy Felker, Ninemile, Ind.; and Mrs. William (Dora) Newman, Knox, Ind.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, where Rev. H. R. Miller, of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church will officiate. Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to services. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
