She was born on Nov. 30, 1926, in Sanford, Maine. She lived the majority of her life in North Berwick, Maine. In her younger years, Mary enjoyed snowmobiling and being part of a Snowmobile Club in South Berwick. She was an avid camper. She and her husband camped for many, many years. Mary was also known as "CB Nana." You could always catch her on the CB chatting with her CB buddies.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Lottie (Cole) and Herbert Allen; her husband, Roland Gray; her son, Paul Gray; a grandchild, Mary Bartley and two son-in-laws, Carl Ross and George Hannaford.
Surviving are three daughters, Pat Hodgdon and husband, Karl, of Acton, Marlene Ross of Wells, and Barbara Hannaford of North Berwick and daughter-in-law, Sharon Gray of South Paris, Maine, and 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren and four cousins.
An hour of visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. directly followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market St., North Berwick, Maine.
Interment in the spring in Oakdale Cemetery, Sanford, Maine. Arrangements are entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home, North Berwick, Maine
