ATWOOD-- Ernest J. Drake, 73, of Atwood, formerly of Kinmundy, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday (July 28, 1987) in St. Anthony's Hospital, Effingham.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Schrader Funeral Home, Arcola, with visitation 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday with 8 p.m. rosary. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy.
Mr. Drake was born in Winterrowd, son of Issac and Eva Drake. He was a retired broom maker, a member of the Arcola Knights of Columbus and St. John's Catholic Church of Arcola.
Surviving are his sons, Jesse and Dennis, both of Arcola; Larry and Ronnie, both of Garrett; Jerry of Lovington; Danny of Arthur; daughters, Pam Campbell of Tuscola; Vera Mueller of Arcola; Donna Mitsdarffer of Garrett; brother, Delbert of Tuscola; sisters, Stella Fulk of Iola; Nel Cornwell of Newton; 31 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
