David E. Daniels Sr. 66 of Indianapolis passed away Monday, June 13, 2005 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born August 3, 1938 in Indianapolis. He married Shirley D. (Pulliam) Daniels, she survives, other survivors include sons Robert J. Post of Terre Haute, IN., Johnathan L. Post (Mary), Joseph D. Post (Robin), David E. Daniels Jr. (Nhut) all of Indianapolis, daughters Jane Marie Long (Tim), Janet L. Anderson, Lola A. Fraites, and Deborah F. Daniels all of Indianapolis, brothers Charles Laudig, Robert Laudig, Jerry Laudig, and John Michael Laudig all of Indianapolis, sisters Elsie Marie Roberts, Alice Jean Riddell, Dianna Kay Hockersmith, and Sue Ann Heady all of Indianapolis, 20 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty (Bates) Ford and a son Randy Daniels. He was a compliance officer for the Indianapolis Department of Transportation for 28 years, retiring in 1997. He also had been a reserve officer for the Indianapolis Police Department for ten years. He was a U.S. Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Beech Grove. He also was involved in Wayne Township Republican Party where he had served as vice chairman. The Reverend Keith Grove will conduct a service Friday at 3 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 in Greenwood with visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Greenwood.
