STATESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Evelyn Osborn, age 90, passed into rest Sunday morning, March 18, 2012, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The Bulloch County native was a homemaker and a member of the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Osborn leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Lena Bell Roberts and Orange Osborn, both of Statesboro, Ga.; sisters, Hattie Davis, New Britain Conn., Arrie Dowdy, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Johnnie Pooler, San Diego, Calif., and Juanita Thomas, Allentown, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Zula Mae Osborn, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Orrin (Sheila) Osborn, Statesboro, Ga., Andre (Kim) Osborn and Collin Osborn, both of New Britain, Conn., Sebrevia Osborn, Atlanta, Ga., Cassius (Tichina) Osborn, Statesboro, Ga., Willie (Jacquelyn) Osborn, Eastman, Ga., Lee Wayne (Gwenette) Roberts, Savannah, Ga., and Laketa Roberts, Atlanta, Ga.; 21 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family visitation will be held on Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. in the Ben Samuel Hill's Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mrs. Osborn will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Woodson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery. Final rites entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
