Mildred Louise (Hape) Goodson, 86, of Evansville passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
She was born on Dec 20, 1925 in Baskett, KY to George Watkins Hape and Louise Ann (Mullen) Hape. She attended school in Henderson, KY and then the Reinlander School in Evansville and graduated from Reitz High School in 1943. While working at Old National Bank she met and married Lowell A. Goodson. Mildred later worked for DeJong's and St. Mary's Hospital. She was very involved in her children's school, helping with tutoring and PTA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell A. Goodson; brothers John Hape, Robert Hape, Herbert Hape and sister Ellen Keith.
Mildred is survived by her sons John Goodson and wife Carolyn of Stuart, FL and Jim Goodson of Evansville; daughter Elizabeth Blanchette of Evansville; grandchildren Cpl. Aaron Blanchette, Alex Goodson, Sarah Blanchette, Adam Goodson and Luke Goodson; sister Wilma Sloan of Tomball, TX and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 1:00 pm Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Phil Hoy officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
