Martin Coffer was born January 6 1884 in Estonia, Russia to George Coffer/Koffer and Ellen "Lena" Tolbhus. He immigrated to the US in 1900 and settled in California. He was married to Anna Overvold & they had a daughter Jane (MacMichael). In the 1920 Census he is listed as a Contractor in the building business. In the 1930 Census records have Occupation as Counsel to Consulate and he is listed as retired from Counsel to the Estonia Consulate.
