Frances Belle Blancet age 72, of Springfield, Ohio, died January 6, 2010 in her daughters residence. She was born in Charleston, WV on December 15, 1937, the daughter of Virgil Alonzo and Chloe Mae (Stump) Shaffer.

Frances retired from environmental services at Mercy St John Center. She loved to spend time with her grandkids, family, and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfred S. Blancet, two sons Jerry and Gary Blancet, son in law Allen L. Jones, Sr., and several brothers and sisters.

Her survivors include four daughters Linda Jones, Drema (fiancé Jerry Joe Jones) Conley, Missy & Eric Shipton, Tammy & Chris Hileman; two sons Donny & Randy Blancet all of Springfield, Ohio; sisters Margaret Belcher of Charleston, WV and Lucille Carno of KY; brother Keith Shaffer of Charleston, WV; 13 grandchildren and spouses, 7 great-grandchildren, sister in law Ruth Ann & Jack Myers of Jacksonville, FL, brother in law Herbert Withrow of Elkview, WV; several nieces and nephews including special nieces Kay Bowers, Teresa Holloway, Connie Mason, Shirley Young, Doris Carpenter and Nina Shaffer; special friends Beatrice Sanders and family, former daughter in law Lorena Blancet-Riley, Michael Brickman, and Rachel Shipton.
