Funeral Services Held Today for Mrs. Maude Chandler
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of Christ for Mrs. Maude Ella Chandler, 69, who passed away Wednesday morning at 9:50.
Interment was in Terrace Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of Mason Funeral Home.
Maude Ella Justice was born Nov. 9, 1879 at Smiley, Texas. On Sept 17, 1899, she married W. N. Chandler at Glen Rose, Texas. He preceeded her in death on January 8, 1935.
A long-time resident of Garza County, she left here in 1941 to reside with her various children.
She is survived by one brother, Dolph Justice, Post; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Luttrell of Kansas and Mrs. Emma Brown of California; six children, C. N. "Red" Chandler, Post; C. L. Chandler, Plains; I. L. Chandler, Post; C. C. Chandler, Lubbock; Mrs. J. C. Young, New Deal; E. R. Chandler, New Deal; and 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: oscar Graham, Buck Gossett, Quanah Maxey, Elmer Cowdrey, Delmer Cowdrey and Glen Davis.
Flower girls were Mrs. Elmer Cowdrey, Mrs. John Wallace, Mrs. Elva Peel, Mrs Lola Peel, Mrs. Billy Windham and Mrs. Glen Davis.
