Burnsville – Mrs. Addie Lea "Shorty" Brown, 75, of Burnsville, died September 29, 1989, at the home of her son Nick Stuart of Sutton, after a long illness.
Also surviving: sons, Buster Brown of Gem, William Brown of Grafton, Ohio, and Delmas Stuart of Napier; daughters, Betty Huffman of Gem and Gustava Hoder of Weirton; brother, Gidd Singleton of Rock Cave; half brother, Joe Singleton of Clarksburg; sister, Maude Singleton of Gem; half sisters, Maggie Williams of Heaters, Gladys Whaley and Ruby Vernon of Baltimore, Peggy Baer of Florida and Mandy Squires of Georgetown, Pa. 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Services were held at 2pm Monday at Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home.
