Cremated?Darlene F. (Higley) Gorrell, 66, of Baden, passed away on Jan. 5, 2009, in her home following an extended illness.

She was born in Sewickley on Nov. 27, 1942, the daughter of the late Philo and Johanna (Cronin) Higley.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by a brother, Philo D. Higley, and two daughters and one son.

Surviving are her husband of 44 years, C. Edward Gorrell, Baden; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Donna Gorrell, Westview; a daughter, Tracy Gorrell, Baden; three granddaughters, Hannah, Isabella and Olivia Gorrell, Westview; a brother-in-law, Jack Gorrell, Coraopolis; three sisters-in-law, Patricia (Jack) Allingham, in Tennessee; Janice (Leroy) McMeans, in Florida and Dorothy (Philo) Higley, Baden, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene was a devoted mother and wife who gave her all to her family. She will be missed more than words can describe.
