She was daughter of John and Frances (Strode) Biggers and wife of Stokes Bowman who survives. From all reports she was a very good Christian lady. She must have been a small woman,for she had the nickname "Bird". She was the mother of one daughter and 8 sons, Alpha, Everette, Colonel, Farris, Houston, Bliss, Jesse, and Benton. Ths daughter was named Effi and she married Tom Howard.
