STRUNK Clarice Miller, widow of Chester Strunk, passed away March 25, 2012 at Cambridge Place Nursing Home. Born March 21, 1923 in Lothair, KY, spending most of her adult life in Lexington, KY. In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Juanita Miller, and her sisters, Nell Dean Martin and Ruby Louise Newton Ward. Clarice is survived by her daughters, Sandra Louise Faraday (Michael), Jackson, Wyoming, and Jean Ellen Lankton (Ray), Lexington, KY. Four grandchildren, Deborah Ellen Taylor, Westchester, OH, Chief Petty Officer Daniel A. Taylor (Kaori), Yokosuka-shi, Kanagawa, Japan, Matthew Kevin Conrad, Lexington, KY and Benjamin Paul Conrad of Houston, Texas. Five great grandchildren, Joshua Taylor Spaulding and Allyson Christine Spaulding, Oscar Riley Conrad and Odin Miller Conrad and Paul Edward Conrad. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Ann White (Don) of Lexington, KY, and several nieces and nephews. She has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years. Graveside service will be held on Tue, 2pm, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity she supported, The Salvation Army.
