Funeral will be held at 10:30 a Monday at Spill Memorial Chapel with the Rev. B. T. Shoemake, paster of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery with Spill Funeral Home in charge.
Born Oct. 16, 1882, at Brooksville, Miss., he moved to Milam County in 1883, where he lived until 1903. He came to Runnels County, settling near Ballinger, in 1903. He later moved to the Winters area, where he lived for over 60 years.
He retired from farming and the family moved into Winters. He married Effie Coudle April 8, 1906, in Ballinger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; five sons, Hayett of Temple, Delton 0f Abilene, Andy of Abilene, and Ray and Coy, both of Abilene; one dauther, Mrs. Cecil R. Mayfield of Robert Lee; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
