Robah (went by Roby) Decatur Rothrock was the third of four known children of Phillip Franklin (went by Frank) Rothrock (1852-1926) and his second wife, Mary (Martha?) Jane (went by Jane) Mendenhall Rothrock (1853-1928), who married 15 feb 1880 at Davidson County, North Carolina. Frank was first married to Augusta V. H. Welch Rothrock (1852-1879), whom he married on 08 Jan 1874 at Davidson County, North Carolina and had three children with.

Roby first married Grace (went by Gracie) E. Hedgecock (1888-1910) on 25 Feb 1907 at Davidson County, North Carolina. Roby and Gracie were the parents of one known child, namely:

After Gracie died, Roby remarried to Julia Florence Idol (1890-1992) on 19 Apr 1914 at Forsyth County, North Carolina. Roby and Julia were the parents of eight known additional children, namely:

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs Albert Bolejack of Rt. 1, High Point and Mrs. Florence Wood of Winston-Salem; five sons, Clay, Wesley, Percy and Grady Rothrock, all of Rt 1 Kernersville, and Wade Rothrock of Winston-Salem; a brother, Elmer Rothrock of Rt 1, High Point; 17 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
