Arthur was the son of Frank Mantonya and Laura Ann "Cricket" Todd Mantonya Hendrix. He was born in DeQueen, Sevier County, Arkansas and grew up most of his life with his mother and extended family. He married Leona Williamson in McCurtain County, Oklahoma, in 1942. He is the grandson of Marksey Lafayette and Ardelia McCurdy Todd.
Arthur married Leona Williamson on 2 Sep 1942, in McCurtain County, OK. They lived in Sevier Co., AR for some time and they had two children. A son Leon and a daughter Elizabeth Carol.
I don't know if Arthur brought his family to TX or if he was moved when hospitalized. However, I believe they moved to TX for his job and it was later that he was hospitalized. He was very ill for about 3 years prior to his death and in long term hospital care during that time and died in that care facility. One record shows Arthur was single or divorced while another one shows him to be married so I'm not sure which is correct at this time.
