Herkimer - George Ellis Ketchum, 39, of 312 Bellinger Ave., former lineman for the Municipal Commission, died yesterday after an illness of about three years.
He was born in the town of Little Falls, March 27, 1906, son of Ernest and the late Mary Gorman Ketchum, and attended school in Fort Herkimer and Herkimer before entering the employ of the Commission.
On Jan 2, 1932, he married Mary Suhanchak in Herkimer. He was a member of the Reformed Church.
He leaves his wife and father; a son, George Ellis, Jr.; two daughters, Gertrude and Carol Ann, all of Herkimer; two sisters, Mrs. Mary McGee, Hudson Falls, and Mrs. Katherine Snow, Cincinnati, two brothers, Wallace, Herkimer, and Robert, New Haven, Conn.
Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Herkimer Evening Telegram, Saturday, May 12, 1945
