Violet H. Neuberger, daughter of Charles and Anna (Hirchert) Neuberger, was born April 19, 1915, in Sioux Falls, SD. She attended Whittier Elementary School and graduated from Washington High School in 1934.
Violet was united in marriage with Orval K. Cummins on June 14, 1936, in Canton, SD. Vi loved caring for the home where she and Orv lived for over fifty years. She enjoyed family gatherings, particularly Christmas with great-nephews and nieces, Cory, Jennifer, Jason and Jill. Vi was a wonderful neighbor and friend.
Vi was employed in the offices of Koplow Brothers, Inc. and Bahrs Beauty Supply. For many years, she enjoyed her work in the office at Stewarts Beauty Salons and Schools where her responsibilities included ordering supplies and magazines for each location. Vi retired from Stewarts in 1978. She was a member of East Side Lutheran Church.
Grateful for sharing her life are her nieces, Susan Kiner and her husband, Bob, Sioux Falls, SD, Kathy Johnson and her husband, Don, Cocoa Beach, FL, Denna Sikes and her husband, Ron, McKinney, TX, Joanne Roschewski, LaQuinta, CA; several great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Vi was preceded in death by her husband, Orval, and her parents.
