ALMA KING BOOTH, the widow of Latha Booth, and the daughter of the late William and Grace Brewer King, was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on March 20, 1915 and departed this life in Beattyville, Kentucky on March 26, 2012 at the age of 97 years and 6 days. She was a homemaker, an Army Enlistment Volunteer, helping young men fill out their military paperwork, a retired Post Master of 28 years, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Beattyville First Church of God.

Mrs. Booth is survived by her three children, Wendell E. Booth and wife Lola of Beattyville, Alice Faye Booth Holskey and husband Bill of Winchester, Kentucky, and Charles Paul Booth and wife Terry of Beattyville; 10 grandchildren, Cynthia Lynn Taylor, Charlene Grace Mullins, Crystal Dawn Thomas, Clarissa Faye Desmond, Timothy Booth, Lee Murray, Todd Murray, David Booth, Charles Paul Booth, Jr., and Jerrmie Booth; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mona Sue Mays of Florence, Kentucky; and a host of other relatives and friends.
