Flora Stubbs, 83, Buried on Friday

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Conrad Methodist Church for Mrs. Flora Stubbs, 83, lifelong resident of the community. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.

Mrs. Stubbs died late last Tuesday afternoon at the Maple Lodge Nursing Home in Grundy Center, where she had made her home the past two years.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Horace, Harold, Dilman, Raymond and Kenneth Daggett and Calvin Wheelock, nephews of the deceased.

Mrs. Grant Frier was vocal soloist, and Miss Evely Stevens organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Francis Bristley, Mrs. Roland Coulter and Mrs. Russell Eggleston.

Obituary
Flora Mabel Daggett was born April 2, 1877, in Clay township, the daughter of Simon E. and Sylvia Daggett. Except for the last two years, the deceased spent her entire life in the Conrad area.

She was united in marriage to Charles Stubbs on February 27, 1901, at Conrad. Mr. Stubbs passed away in September, 1954.

Survivors include three sons, Donald of Laurel, Harlan of Iowa City, and John of Conrad; a daughter, Mrs. Naomi Roberts, Dike, two sisters, Mrs. Joe Wheelock and Miss Minnie Daggett, both of Conrad; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
