Harry C. Crist
of Harrisburg, died at a Harrisburg hospital last Tuesday morning. He was the son of John Lawrence Crist of this place, his mother being Mrs. Mattie Iungerich, of Sixth and Walnut Sts., nee Ickes, daughter of George Loy and Elizabeth Anne (Kell) Ickes. He was born Dec. 17, 1872 and for 32 years had been an employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, having been a yard conductor since 1905. Besides his widow, Mrs. Dora C. Crist, he is survived by his mother and three children, May, Edgar and Harold, all of Harrisburg. His brother, John Lawrence Ickes, Jr., and his half sister, Martha Amelia Iungerich, are dead. The funeral services were held last Friday morning at 10 o'clock from his late home with Rev. J. Owen Jones, pastor of the Sixth Street U. B. church, officiating. The funeral cortege came overland to Newport where further services were held Friday at 2 p.m., with interment in Newport cemetery. The late Mr. Crist had many friends who mourned his death. A number of his fraternal brothers accompanied the body to this place, he having been a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Lodge No. 383, Pennsylvania R. R. Relief, I. O. O. M., Lodge No. 107, and Warrior Eagle Tribe No. 340, Improved Order of Redmen.
