Charles Owen Stamm, 68, of Granada Hills, Calif., died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005.

Born June 8, 1937, in Rushville, he was the son of Owen Scott and Mildred (Walker) Stamm, both deceased. He married Dorothea Schaus May 23, 1964; she survives.

Mr. Stamm was a 1957 graduate of Rushville High School. He owned Charles Stamm and Sons Plasterers and Contractors for 54 years. He was a member of Plasterers Union Local #2. He was also a member of Resurrection Lutheran Missouri Synog where his son is the minister. An U.S. Army veteran, he served from 1960 to 1964.

Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, the Rev. Shawn Owen Stamm of Lancaster, Calif.; and two sisters, Betty Joe (Mrs. Lenny) Buttery of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Becky (Mrs. Fred) Stevens of Rushville.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, John, and one sister, Sandra McLaughlin.

Services were held Dec. 15 at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chadsworth, Calif.

Arrangements were handled by Bastian & Perrott, Oswald Funeral Home in Northridge, Calif.
