IN LOVING MEMORY ELLA MAY KILE
Ella May Kile, 75, of North Platte, NE died Thurs¬day, April 24, 1997 at North Platte Care Centre in North Platte.
She was born April 8, 1922 at Hastings, NE to Wilber David and Ella Christine Doll Powers. Ella grew up in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School in 1940. She attended Hastings College and then worked for the Naval Ammunition Depot in Hastings.
Ella enlisted in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps in 1943. After being discharged, she returned to Hastings and the Naval Ammunition Depot.
Ella married Charles Lester Kile May 21,1949 at Hastings. They lived in Hastings until 1952 when they moved to Grand Island, NE and lived there until 1972:-While in Grand-Island she worked for Gambles for 12 years. In 1972 they moved to North Platte.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #163, Women's Veterans Organization, Eagles Aerie #2839 and a past member of the D.A.V.
Survivors include three sisters, Hilda Irene Korgan of Hastings, Betty Ann and husband Lloyd Gray of DeCatur, Alabama, Carol Faye and husband August Wiechmann of Ogden, Utah; two brothers, David Arthur and wife Grace Powers and Paul Hubert and wife Faye Powers all of Hastings; special friend Si Schoolcraft of North Platte and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, a daughter Jaye Ann Kile, and a sister Alice Ellen Lutz.
