The career that commenced with his first service on Sunday, June 8th, 1862 in St. Clement's Church and lasted 61 years.

Married: Aug. 4, 1864 at Moose Factory, Man. to Margaret Drever

son of William Thomas McKay and Nancy Mary Bunn, he was born at Rupert River, Manitoba.

Deaconess Winnifred Stapleton, formerly of Selkirk, now of Victoria, BC, has a last recollection of seeing him standing at a dock in northern Saskatchewan wistfully watching the group of church-workers depart for their posts, then in his eighties and too old to accompany them any longer.
