Beverly Kay Jobe, 54, of Connersville, went home to be with the Lord at Indiana University Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis, on Sunday, March 25, 2012 after becoming ill at her home on Saturday. Her death was unexpected.

She was born September 17, 1957 in Rushville, Indiana, one of four children of William J. and Edith A. Kennedy Beard. She attended the Rushville Public Schools, graduating from Rushville Consolidated High School, Class of 1976.

Following her graduation, she was employed for several years at the former Fujitsu Ten in Rushville where she worked in the Assembly Department.

On February 27, 1993, she was married to Jeremy "Jerry" Jobe of Connersville in the Alpine Christian Church, with Reverend Glen Wilson officiating. They resided in Connersville all of their married life.

An active member of the Connersville Baptist Temple for many years, she had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Brookville and had been a former member of the Rushville Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday School for several years. Beverly was unashamed of her faith and was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Beverly enjoyed caring for her family, especially her granddaughter Leah, as she and Jerry were helping to raise her; she devoted much of her time to helping to meet the needs of others through various mission and outreach organizations; and through the local ministries of her church.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Jeremy "Jerry" Jobe of Connersville; a daughter, Kristy Sweet of Connersville; a granddaughter, Leah Sweet of Connersville; two sisters: Barbara Click and her husband, Mark, and Brenda Dearinger and her husband, Phillip, all of Rushville; her mother, Edith Beard of Rushville; three special nephews, Craig Click and his wife, Lauren, Todd Click and his wife, Jamie, both of Rushville and Doug Click and his wife, Rachael, of Charleston, South Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; a brother-in-law, David Jobe and his wife, Sandra, of Connersville; a sister-in-law, Jennifer French of Greeenwood, Indiana and her mother -in-law, Betty Jobe of Connersville.

She is preceded in death by her father, William J. Beard, who died June 5, 1996 and a brother, William "Butch" Beard, who died January 3, 2009.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:30 AM at the Connersville Baptist Temple, with Pastor Tim Billups of the Connersville Baptist Temple and Pastor Mike Holman of the First Baptist Church of Brookville, officiating. Friends may visit at the Connersville Baptist Temple from 10:30 AM until the time of services on Saturday and from 4-8 PM in Friday at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home.

Burial will be made in the Valley Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to Faith Builders, a local ministry that provides housing and assistance to women and children who have been victims of domestic violence.
