Sidney Smith Cosby, 66-year-old filling station operator, was found dead in the bed of his residence, 1542 Jonesboro Road, yesterday morning, police reported. A coroner’s jury returned a verdict of death from natural causes.
He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. L. H. Duke, of Charleston S.C.; Mrs. R. L. Burgamy, of Sparta, Ga.; and the Misses Winnie and Doris Cosby; and a stepdaughter, Miss Louise Jordan; a son, William Cosby, of Warrenton, Ga.; two brothers, Charlie Cosby, of Milledgeville, and J. M. Cosby; three sisters, Miss Emma Cosby, of Sparta, and Mrs. Winnie Smith and Mrs. J. H. Anderson, both of Devereux, Ga.
Services will be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the Lakewood Heights Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The Reverend J. L. Henderson will officiate, and burial will be in Antioch cemetery, under the direction of J. Austin Dillon Company.
