She was born April 9, 1918, a daughter of the late Guy and Annie Connor Chaplain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Bonnie and Denise.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Eugene Irvine; three children: Betty L. Seaman, Barbara Snider, both of Lexington, and Alvin Irvine of CA; three brothers: Ernie Chaplain, of Lexington, Benny Chaplain of Glasgow and Ed Chaplain of Staunton; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. James Graves officiating.
Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
