Roberts, a native of Kansas, died Sunday, Nov. 19, while undergoing open heart surgery at St. Agnes Hospital where he had been a patient for almost two weeks.
He suffered a heart attack at home Oct. 29 and was treated at Alta Hospital in Dinuba for a week. He and his wife, Nellie, had returned from a trip to Kansas on Oct. 14.
The Roberts moved to this vicinity in 1942. He worked on the Dundas Fruit Ranch for 32 years and retired seven years ago when he became ill. They lived at their present home on Fourth Street for about five years.
His only survivors are his wife Nellie of Orange Cove; a son, Jack of Pacheco, near Concord, and an uncle in the Masonic Home at Arlington, Texas.
