GALENA, KANSAS: Glen J.W. Woods Jr. passed away at 4:05 am, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at his home following an illness.

Glen was born Feb. 17, 1960 in Baxter Springs, KS. His parents were Glen J.W. and Charlene (Lasley) Woods. He lived most his life in the Galena KS area.

He graduated from Baxter Springs KS High School in 1978. He was a machinist, working at area factories including Able Body, Superior Wheels and LaBarge.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Galena, KS. Glen loved to work on cars. He was known to be a muscle car enthusiast.

Surviving is his daughter, Hillary (and Justin) Youngblood, Galena, KS; two grandsons, Zoey and Ryker Youngblood; his mother, Charlene Woods, Arma, KS; three sisters, Michelle Wammack, Galena, KS, Glenda Hall, Seneca, MO, and Brenda Woods, Wyandotte, OK; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Galena, KS. Pastor Jeff Swart will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday morning at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
