Aaron Dennis Shupe, 25, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Scottdale, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, in Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven, Fla. Born May 28, 1980, in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of Bernice E. (Shupe) Wiltrout and stepson of Kevin Wiltrout, of Scottdale. He was employed as a welder by Emerson Trailer in Winter Haven and was a 1999 graduate of Southmoreland High School. He was an avid deer hunter. He attended the Apostle and Prophet Ministry of Jesus Christ Church in Auburndale, Fla. Lance Cpl. Aaron Shupe was a veteran of the current Persian Gulf War where he served with the United States Marine Corps in Afghanistan prior to his honorable discharge this past March. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Bethany Faith Wiltrout; maternal grandfather, Edwin G. Shupe [#199265937]; paternal grandparents, Presley H. Jr. and Mary A. Wiltrout; and an aunt and uncle, Jennifer and Robert Taxacher, all of Scottdale; uncle and aunt, Edwin K. and Pamela Shupe, of Concord, N.C.; many other aunts, uncles and cousins; and his close friend, Jana Hooten, of Fort Meade, Fla. Aaron was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn R. Shupe [#88590130], in 2002; and his great-grandparents, Walter [#89521703] and Agnes [#52078174] Brothers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL SERVICE INC., 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Frank Lewis and Pastor Allen Holler co-officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery with full military rites accorded by members of American Legion Post 446 and VFW Post 3368.
