Mrs. Inis L. Snouwaert, 69, mother of Mrs. William Ward of Linden, and long-time resident of the Linden area, died unexpectedly at 10 p.m. Friday, March 31, 1972, at Evanston, IL while visiting a cousin. She was dead on arrival at Cook County Hospital in Evanston, IL. She had been in failing health for about a year.
Born May 31, 1902, in Tippecanoe county, she was the daughter of Frank and Carrie Mulhollen Kantz. She attended school in Jackson Township in Tippecanoe County.
She was married February 12, 1923 to Frank Snouwaert. He died in 1967. Survivors in addition to her daughter, Carolyn, here are two grandchildren, Cynthia Anne and Teresa Kay Ward.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 1972, in Helms Funeral Home at Linden with Rev. Broten Martin officiating. Betty Edwards was the organist. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Monday, April 3, 1972. Paul bearers were Harry Decker, David Dickerson, William Pell, Edward Snouwaert, Robert Shoemaker, and Wilbur Johnson.
