Funeral services for Mrs Waldemar C (Frieda S) Fortriede, 73, of 1118 Cottage Ave, will be at 3 pm Friday at the Klaehn Funeral Home, Rev Willard Zinke officiating. Burial will be in the Covington Memorial Gardens.

Mrs Fortriede died yesterday morning at her home. She had been ill four months.

Mrs Fortriede and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sept 17, 1962.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Deborah Rebekah Lodge 110 and the Ladies Auxiliary Canton No 17.

Surviving, in addition to her husband are two sons, Waldemar L and Ralph A, both of Fort Wayne; a sister, Mrs Esther Hartzog of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Henry W Toenges of Fort Wayne and Albert F Toenges of Lansing, Mich; five grandchildren, one niece; and three nephews.
