LIFE'S JOURNEY ENDED FOR ANOTHER OLD-TIMER
_____________________

The passing of William Hand, who died at 3:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, January 3, 1923, marks the going of another old-timer, one who came to this section in the early days and went through the hardships necessary to do his duty to God and also to aid in making a prairie into the furtile land we now see.

Mr. Hand was a patient sufferer, and for the past year or eighteen months his health was in such condition that he was unable to work or to look after his business, but despite his condition, he always had that ever contented smile for a friend or neighbor.

For a while it was thought that possibly he would regain his health, but last Saturday he suddenly took worse and gradually grew weaker until the end came.

The funeral will be held at the Christian Church at ten o'clock tomorrow,(Friday) morning, with Rev. C. M. Myers, officiating and interment will be made at the Lamont Cemetery.

Sympathy is extended to those surviving.
