A native and lifelong resident of Henefer, he was born June 4, 1874, to Robert Allen and Elizabeth Parker Jones. For several years he had been secretary of Henefer Irrigation company No. 1. He was a member of the L. D. S. church.
Surviving are his widow, formerly Charlotte Judd, whom he married September 21, 1898, in the Salt Lake L. D. S. temple; his father of Ogden; 10 sons and daughters, Roland M. Jones and Mrs. William Hiller of Salt Lake City, Mrs. A E. Sparks and Mrs. Roland Shaw of Evanston, Wyo.; Richard E. and R. Garnett Jones of Devil's Slide, Mrs. Jessie Hemming of Morgan, Mrs. Frank Neilsen of Sandy, Mrs. Vern Nielsen of Midvale and Howard Jones of Henefer; also 11 grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters, George P., John W., and Irvin T. Jones and Mrs. John F. Anderton of Henefer, Mrs. Willis Call of Ogden, D. W. Jones of American Fork, Mrs. J. W. Tanner and Mrs. Barbara Gallion of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p. m. in Henefer L. D. S. ward chapel by Bishop W. E. Calderwood.
Interment will be in the Henefer cemetery.
