Funeral Services for James S. Prock, who died in Kansas City Friday, July 11, was held at the Gwinn-Siders funeral home in this city last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were conducted by Dr. J. F. Reese, acting pastor of the Baptist church in the absence of the regular pastor, Rev. Floyd E. Pittman. Interment was in the El Dorado Springs cemetery.
Mr. Prock was born Sept. 22, 1858, and was 82 years old. He had been twice married his first wife, Mrs. Ida Prock, preceding him in death in 1901. Surviving are: his second wife, Mrs. Minnie May Prock. Five sons and five daughters James A. Prock, Sarcoxie, Mo.; Wallace Prock, Bentonville, Ark.; Bernie Prock, Kansas City' Burleigh Prock, Kansas City; Fred Prock, Kansas City; Mrs. Sallie Lawson, Webb City, Mo.; Mrs. Crystal Belk, Kansas City; Mrs. Lena Hart, Osceola, Mo.; Mrs. Hazel Cominneti, Kansas City; Mrs. Aline Howard, Kansas City. All the children were present at the funeral.
Mr. Prock and his family were residents of El Dorado Springs over thirty years ago and he will no doubt be remembered by some of the city's older residents. He had been a resident of Kansas City for a number of years. He was a member of the Baptist church at Osceola, Mo.
