He married in Fairfield, October 26, 1880, to Lovey Chadbourne, a native of Suisun valley, and the daughter of Joseph and Ruth Annie (Hobbs) Chadbourne, natives of Maine.
Six children were born, Five who survived: Edna, who married Hardy Wright; Pearl, who married Clyde Wright; Hazel Lambert, and Charles A. Lambert, and Blanche.
John's father Wesley was born in Kentucky and came to California in 1899 and died in Mendocino county in Jan. 1899. John's mother Derinda Burger Wright was born in Iowa
and died at age 65 years.
