Pansy Rhoads Rupprecht, 83 of Barnes City died Tuesday at Pepin, Wisc. She was born Oct. 21, 1900 at Delta, the daughter of Francis and Ester McKIbbon Malin. She was married to John Rhoads in March of 1923, they lived in Oskaloosa where he died in January 1960. In September 1965, she was united in marriage to George Rupprecht. They lived in Barnes City area where he died in August of 1977. Since December of 1983 she has been living in Wabasha, Minn. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of Christian Church in Oskaloosa and Barnes City, the Eagles Auxilary, King's Daughter and Rebehah Lodge and had been an active Girl Scout Leader. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs John (Ruby) White of Wabasha, Minn, two sons, Lt. Col Dean Rhoads of Alexandria, VA and Dale Rhoads of Vallejo, Calif., six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, one son and ten brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 10:30 am at the community Christian Church in Barnes City with Rev. Douglas Smiley officiating. Burial will be in the Toga Cemetery near Rose Hill. The Watts funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.
