SIDELL - Edna Lorraine Pankey, 75, of Sidell, died (April 10, 2004) at Saint Mary's Hospital in Streator following a two-year bout with cancer.
Mrs. Pankey was born May 9, 1928, in Sidell, the daughter of Emmett and Agnes (Sheppard) Mingee. She married Robert Pankey Dec. 20, 1946, in Sidell. He preceded her in death April 27, 1998.
Mrs. Pankey retired as a cook for the Sidell and Jamaica school districts. She was a member of the Sidell United Methodist Church. She loved to bake and quilt.
Funeral services were held at the Sidell United Methodist Church in Sidell; Officiating: Rev. Larry Moreau; Burial: Fairview Cemetery in Sidell; Memorials: Joines Funeral Home in Sidell was in charge of arrangements.
