Elmer Lambertson 'Ted' Parks
Retied Juniata College custodian Elmer Lambertson 'Ted' Parks, 79, 9549 Sipes Road, Huntingdon, Porter Township, died at 1:46 a.m Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.

Born Dec. 8, 1929, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Elmer and Mae (Ross) Parks. He was united in marriage to the former Augusta Genevieve 'Genny' Jackson Aug. 21, 1955, in the Kingdom Hall, Tyrone, by Rev. Lester Watts. Mrs. Parks preceded him in death July 2, 1999
.
Mr. Parks is survived by two daughters and two sons, Linda Progl and husband, Rick, Patty Bonsell and husband, Mark, and Ted Parks, all of Huntingdon, and Timothy Parks and wife, Michele, Newport News, Va; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Pulinka and husband. Matthew, Pottstown, Ryan Progl and wife, Jessica, Tammi Bonsell, Randi Bonsell, and Caleb Progl, all of Huntingdon; and Isabella Parks, Newport News. Va.; and a great granddaughter, Ashlyn Makayla Pulinka, Pottstown. He is also survived by a sister. Judy Himes and husband, Scott, Huntingdon.
Mr. Parks was a member of the Huntingdon Jehovah's Witnesses.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953. Mr. Parks attended Huntingdon High School.
He retired Dec. 9. 1994, from Juniata College, where he had worked as a custodian for 30 years.
A lifetime resident of Huningdon County, Mr. Parks had resided in his porter township home since 1972. He was an avid woodcrafts and donated countless items to the PRIDE Telethon each year. He was especially fond of the time spent with his children and more importantly, his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Cutright Funeral Home $ Smithfield Chapel, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon, 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, with Vaughn A. Roy officiating. Interment will be made privately in the Blair Memorial Park, Tyrone. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
