Helen Harwig, A long time resident of Dallas, passed away on March 29, 2010 in West Bloomfield, Michigan at age 90. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Goetz harwig. She is survived by her duaghter and son in law, Lucy and Ronald Muller; her son and his wife, Ernest and Barbara Harwig; seven granchildren and ten great grandchildren; and her brother Carl Von Doenfoff, of Niagara Falls, New York. During her lifetime, Helen quietly went about doing much good for others. She taught for twenty years in the Dallas Independent Schood District, and she was an active member of West Shore and Lake Highlands Presbyterian Churches and Church Women United. She also received a Life time Achievement Award from the League of Women Voters.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at 4pm in Crockett, Texas on May 29, 2010.
